Stour Academy Trust Rewind
For this brief I was tasked with generating a sufficient thumbnail to represent the slideshow of photographs from every school in the Stour Academy Trust. For this I wanted to ensure you could completely understand the video before clicking on it, I first brainstormed and came up with an idea to show children looking at photographs on a wall similar to a museum type of look.
This was my first draft and I really liked the look that had been created with the two separate sides with corelating colours, However I felt that the photos being so colourful sort of took away from the characters looking at them which was the main idea I was trying to show.
So for my second draft I decided to change all of the photos on the wall to being in grey scale which also adds a sense of repetition to them presenting them more as a piece of art as a whole being displayed. This also allowed the Character's to pop a bit more showing the teacher and students clearly, which i really liked the look of.
I really liked this design, however due to it being a Thumbnail I realised I would have to make the photographs much bigger and clearer otherwise on a smaller frame they may all blend into one and not show anything at all. I also wanted to reinforce the idea of a rewind in the title by adding a rewind symbol above the 'i'.
These where my final drafts and left to right I reduced them by 12 photos each time in order to sit back and select the most visually appealing one.
