Case Study: Amazon PPC US Market
STRATÉGIE FOR A LOW BUDGET SCALE.
- The product was in the highly competitive apparel market.
- Although the sales were much too low, the ACOS was about 44%.
- Due to the CPC's high level, proper bid analysis and placement optimization were required.
- Only about 20% of orders were organic.
- The listing process wasn't exactly optimised.
𝐂𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐬:
- OOS had the highest selling ASIN.
- The client was unprepared for the rise in PPC expenses.
𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐆𝐨𝐚𝐥𝐬:
- To increase sales while keeping or, even better, decreasing ACOS.
- Maintain a steady expenditure.
- Rank simultaneously to boost the flow of organic orders.
- To improve performance, identify the "sweet spot" (placements) for each keyword.
- Improve the CVR to increase ROAS.
Process for listing optimization:
- Business report analysis brought to light the CVR problem.
- Moved forward with a front-end and back-end listing redesign.
- Added appropriate size charts to aid in customer decision-making.
- Created and posted EBC.
PPC Approach:
- Started by negating or reducing spend on loss-producing KWs.
- Selected and tested the KWs with the highest conversion rates across various placements. (At low bid, but with strict TOS)
- Broadened the search to find more effective key words through the use of phrase and broad campaigns, all while keeping costs in check. (Used the low bid approach)
- Segmented campaigns based on ASIN CVR and tested KWs for each campaign as necessary.
The Result:
- Managed to increase PPC sales by 25% while bringing the ACOS down to about 23%.
- Amounted to a 37 percent increase in organic sales.
- The listings are converting better so they are climbing the rankings gradually and steadily without spending a lot of money.
Conclusion:
Maintaining composure and organisation while monitoring each action to ensure promptness is the key. Additionally, by conducting a proper bid analysis in relation to a breakeven CPA analysis, you can always keep your CPC in check. You'll get a clear picture of what needs to be done to scale thanks to this.
