David Raminfard's profile

Early Top Prospects for the 2023 NBA Draft

David Raminfard is the president of New Point Fabrics and Kaslen Textiles in Vernon, California, both of which import fabrics for drapes and the furniture industry. In his leisure time, David Raminfard enjoys NBA basketball. Even though the 2020 draft is history, league observers are excited over seven players that could make a big impact early in the 2023 draft:

Victor Wembanyama
Rated number one by two sources, this French youngster stands 7 feet 3 inches and has an excellent wingspan of 7 feet 9 inches. Wingspan refers to the distance between a player’s outstretched fingertips. The longer the wingspan, the greater the playing options. Wembanyama has a great “shooting IQ” and looks to be a strong playmaker. A member of the European ASVEL team, his only downside appears to be a risk of injury.

Sterling “Scoot” Henderson
Henderson is already a star in the NBA’s G League (similar to the minors in baseball). Powerful for his 6 feet 3 inches height, Henderson has racked up 14.2 points and 4.2 assists per game. Scouts think he could be the best American 2023 pick because of his play above the rim.

Shaedon Sharpe
A standout in the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League, Sharpe averaged 22.6 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 2.7 assists in 12 games. At 6 feet 4 inches with a 7-foot wingspan, his upper body strength helps him punch through defenders to score.

Enomi Bates
Although there is room for improvement, this University of Memphis guard upped his game to 23.4 points per contest. At 6 feet 9 inches, Bates boasts a 35 percent three-point shot average and shoots fluently from his dribble.

The Thompson Twins
Brothers Amen and Ausar Thompson highlight the new Overtime Elite league. Standing 6 feet 7 inches and equally skilled in offense and defense, they can already execute showstopping plays.

Dariq Whitehead
This 6-foot-6-inch shooting guard stars at Montverde Academy and is committed to Duke University. Look to him to become a threat in the transition game and contribute solid defense.
