For a show in Piqua, Ohio called Rockwell Reimagined. We’re supposed to pick a Rockwell Saturday Evening Post painting and reimagine it in a modern context. I chose the painting, ‘Boy at the Barber.’ When I produced this piece, I wasn't trying to demonize social media or teenagers. I wanted to show a tale as old as time enhanced rather than subverted by modern technology: the embarrassingly supportive mother and the teen who can't seem to rebel enough to escape her love.
