Earth Hour 2020

We prepare this project for six months. From idea creation, artwork design and development, which includes the key visual, website, promotion printing ads, MTR banners, bus banners, tram banners, outdoor banners, TVC idea and storyboard, event setups, event broadcast, event T-shirt and event souvenirs.

In this project, I created the key visual from scratch, went through the design process and reached the final output. The idea was to scan the fingerprint to identify the pledge to support the earth hour event. And combine the new way we live in Hong Kong. Hong Kong’s Mai Po is one of Southeast Asia’s largest wetlands. If you use the drone to fly over it, you will see that the top view of Mai Po is like a fingerprint. So I try to mix them up to create that key visual.
Four Animations inspired by the billboard girl banner stands in the street of Korea.
Four animation boxes represent four living styles and follow the theme “change the way we live”.
Four animation boxes represent four living styles and follow the theme “change the way we live”. We use special cardboard, which is solid and durable, instead of a form-board to reduce plastic usage sustainably.
During the pandemic, we prepare the cleaning hand kit bag above each square cubic, which is the chairs for the guests seated to attend the event. Instead of renting the chairs, those are made with cardboard that will reuse for next year.
At 8 pm, we broadcast a live video on Facebook with three video cams in the indoor event. We broadcast the event and located 3 outdoor places to capture the moment the light switched off in Hong Kong at 8:30 pm. We have done amazing work on limited manpower and budget.
Thank you for watching!
