I started this project in 2009 trying to explore and document this area on the coast of Rome. I tried to understand why I am so related to this place and explore some elements of it like theEx-colonia Marina and many  abandoned buildings. I made different interviews to discover why the area was abandoned, who was living therebefore, why it is still abandoned. The Colony was built in the '40s with the attempt to give a summer holidays to those children that could not afford it. Then for more than 70 years the area is abandoned. I document this space that makes simplicity so beautiful and show the beauty and the nature around the Colony to the people, with the attempt to raise awareness in them so that the area can be requalified.
