Challenge
To create a identity for a seafood restaurant that cooks and sells fresh local British fish. We needed to come up with a new name and look for the restaurant. It needed to be fun, friendly and target a wide range of customers. Creating a feeling of freshness and portraying the coastal area.
 
Solution
We came up with the name Pisces which in Latin means fish. It is also communally used as a star sign for people born between 18th Feb and 20th March. We came up with the idea of using the style of the star sign which in many cases is two fish facing opposite directions, but our logo needs to be simpler. We managed to simplify it down to four diamonds which gives a clean, simple look while still being recognised as fish. Under the symbol we decided to add a simplified wave pattern and a thick tall font with wide spacing to coincide with the simplicity of the symbol. We used this Symbol to create a pattern which could be used across the brand. We have used simple illustrations to bring the design together and really make the experience of the coastal area.
 
Result
A clean, simple, fun friendly design, which works across all target audiences. Really pushing the ideas behind eating and buying fresh fish from the local coastal area.
