Warmth is a word used to express various things. Warmth can mean comfort, intimacy, love, nervousness, community, laughter, or literal things like cooking or sun’s heat. This space emphasizes the heat created from all the things above.
The program focuses it self on the “heat source” in the center of the space, then radiating the other programs outward. Warmth in the center mainly to express non literal expressions, as in the expression of community, comfort, and love. The farther away from the center, the colder the activity gets, as in more individual and temporary activities like working or cooking.
That said, both individual activities have literal heat sources in them, like a big opening, warm water and stove tops. To save space, most of the furnitures in this space are modular and transformable. The bed room can be transformed into a communal space, the kitchen can transform into a dining room, the small stairs are modular to be used as seats or moved to reach the cabinet.
