Shibori is a japanese word used for the methods of dyeing cloth by binding, stiching, clamping, twisting and
compressing.

The techniques that I learned during the course:

Nui shibori or stitch resist is a type in which a simple running stitch is used on the cloth then pulled tight to
gather the cloth.

Arashi Shibori: a pole-wrapping technique.

Itajime Shibori or clamping is a shape-resist technique. The cloth is folded like an accordion and sandwiched
between two pieces of wood or any flat shaped object.
