This project utilized the five phases of UX research and design (empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test) to reimagine an existing product in order to maintain viability. In the wake of a change in website ownership, competitors emerged who posed a threat to the status of Salsa New York as the primary resource for listing and finding salsa events in New York City and the greater New York area. This proposal and prototype shows how restructuring event listings and hierarchy of information can provide dancers with a reliable source of comprehensive event details so they are not disappointed by events and continue to be enthusiastic about dancing salsa.
