I started out with a simple sketch and tried different costumes...I placed those flaps instead of horns.
Then I started to do the line art in Illustrator. I used once again a Caligraphic Brush together with my graphics tablet. This took quite a while.
I finished my lineart port it again in Photoshop for color studies
I wanted to maintain a Gothic Color theme so I decided to use cool hues and tones. Now satisfied with the colors, I port it back to Illustrator so that I have a reference.
I used the same method in coloring my artwork.
I carefully look at my file size and the number of objects so it will be easily be read when printed.
It's time to get into details. Here is a portion of her face.

Final product. I added the castle background to give more depth and to complete the theme for the final artwork.
