From the beginnings of the Jewish people to the present day, we can see how art in this nation has been changing in a very progressive way throughout the years.
In its beginnings, we found a Jewish people inflexible to the expression of art, this was motivated by the strong religious tradition. But this was gradually transformed to become what we know today as modern Jewish art.
It is from the twentieth century onwards that Jewish artists not only sought to present art inspired by the historical past. Rather, they focused on an art movement coming from European modernism. Of course, without leaving aside what Jewish tradition and devotion implied.
