For the 2019 edition of Shiv Nadar University's annual festival Breeze, the Life Sciences society Genesis decided to conduct a game of Twister... with a twist. The players would be asked a question related to biology, and the answer to that would be a number on the mat. They must answer by placing a foot or a hand on the circle containing the correct number.
This special game event was, quite aptly, named 'Dislocate.' I was given the delightful task of designing its poster. These are the concepts I came up with.
Concept 1 - Inspired by the Twister mat design
Concept 2 - Making the poster itself a little game of decoding DNA to reveal the event name
Concept 3 - DNA again, but less effort on the part of the viewer
Concept 4 - A disc with dislocated rings
Ultimately concept 1 was picked as the final choice.
