A sweet composition, a meaningful representation and appreciation towards the valentines spirit. Texture, colors, and depth plays along towards the soft and cozy aesthetic the artist was going for.

Landscape Incoming, 2022
The very first piece painted digitally; a landscape painting. Incoming is an illustration made prior to the very first project/assignment following just after the exercises early in the semester. A surreal landscape was depicted from instances in the material world; whereas the sky turns more purple or pink as well as the color of the foreground which is usually seen in the distance due to the atmospheric perspective.

An ironic representation of vanity and beauty. This art piece tackles how beauty is "defined" in the society nowadays. Obtaining art styles or art implications such as: irony, pluralism, and relativism.
The Realist Magazine vol. 2, 2022 Pop Art
Volume two concludes the same values and concepts of the first. However, colorizing the subject more to the point where it becomes more of an abstraction rather than an accurate representation. Strengthening the surrealism in the piece.
Self-Portrait Painting Self-Portrait from Scratch, 2022
A challenge of drawing human anatomy. This piece pulls together the exercises done from the beginning to the end of the class. Aspects learned throughout the semester are seen to be executed. There is a struggle in blending towards a realistic structure.
Traced Self-Portrait, 2022 Self-Portrait Painting
With a structured drawing of the features done focusing filling in the structure by blending through the values and shadows are executed in this piece. This portrait represents the control and comfort the artists obtained throughout the course of the semester.
Self-Portrait Painting Stylized Self-Portrait, 2022
A strange aesthetic is illustrated in this portrait painting. The artist taps into her personal preferred style of creating art. Applying some of photoshop's photo manipulation, tools, and filters to achieve this portrait allows the artist to utilize her skills gained from her college experiences.
About the Artist
An art student, specifically a creative media major, Misia Palad (Misha/ Me-sha). Within the short amount of time as a freshman at Hawaii Community College. Misia has gained artistic passion, influence, and determination to fulfill a career as a creator/artist. Originally Architecture was the artistic future she foreseen for herself. All up until she shifted gears in applying for college. Entering creative media made a great deal towards her artistry.
Ink and paper would be her go to medium. Despite that, she has been able to play around with a lot of different mediums. Privileged enough Misia was able to learn more aspects of each medium. This portfolio shows her progress throughout a semester working digitally. There are obvious areas that are a struggle for her such as her self-portrait. Challenges like the such make the process of learning harder of course but worthwhile.
Misia is a young learning artist that is exploring and establishing herself and her art. She prefers to be called Louise which is like her stage name or alias. Links bellow are where more of her works can be seen and appreciated.
