Composition details:
"Tastebud" features a central element of a woman lying within a bed of tongues that are formed in the shape of a lotus flower. This central element rests on an alter of sorts, surrounded by a geometric pattern filled with a vintage floral illustration; reminiscent of stained glass.
Concept:
The central element of the woman lying in the bed of tongues, is meant to be uncomfortable in a way. It is not meant to be sensual in a positive manner. It is gross, it is raw, it is off-putting, it is satirical. It is juxtaposed within a seemingly allegorical setting.
