ART 235 PSA Campaign: BULLY In disguise

ART 235 PSA CAMPAIGN
 BULLY IN DISGUISE
For my PSA campaign posters I decided to design a 3 piece set focusing on Cyber bullying. My target audience is middle school age students who are being bullied. I wanted to bring attention to the importance of not keeping the bullying a secret and how important it is to share what is happening with a trusted adult while keeping evidence of the bullying taking place.
The requirements for this project are that the posters need to be 11 x17 inches. We had to choose a topic about an issue that was important to us. The posters should be distinct from each other but should look part of a set. The AdCouncil logo needed to be included also. The posters must have a headline, tagline and/or secondary headline, logo and URL as part of a call to action. The approved fonts from the student font pack should be used unless a strategic decision decision called for a different font usage.

I used the creative strategy of material swap using a video game controller in place of a mask to convey that young people hide behind their video games and cyber bully others because they don't have to face them. This makes cyber bullying so much easier for people than tradition school yard bullying with less consequences.
For this design I used the creative strategy of material swap and used a cell phone in place of a mask to show middle school students that cyberbullies hide behind their phones and bully others through texts and on social media websites. These days bullying extends beyond school time and is constantly looming over them on their phones.
For my last design I used the creative strategy of material swap and used a computer keyboard in place of a mask. Using a PC for online gaming is a popular trend and students are using computers and Ipads for their schoolwork. I wanted to convey that cyberbullies use these devices as ways to torment others also.
