Invisible Cities

This project is a radical retelling of of the book ‘Invisible Cities’
by Italo Calvino.

My concept was to dedicate the book to the theme ‘Thin Cities’
(One of the book’s themes).

Thin Cities represent architecture and structure’s effect on people’s experience.
They are unfinished or ghost-like cities and the most luminous parts of the book,
as Italo Calvino stated.

These are five cities-
Isaura, Zenobia, Armilla, Sophronia and Octavia.

The book is dedicated to Architects or admirers of architecture, sculpture, and buildings.
It is a message sent out to the architects that architecture is just like storytelling;

“Architecture is more than steel and design.”

It affects people’s experiences, and these cities ask them to dig deeper into what architecture stands for.
