I had the pleasure of developing and implementing integrated marketing communications strategy for Ochsner Health Plan that contributed significantly to a $72 million net turnaround, a 28% increase in marketshare, over 76,000 phone calls, 30,000 qualified leads and 14,000 approved applications. Strategy included brand-repositioning for a struggling HMO in a challenged managed care market. Print ads, direct-mail, radio, billboards, community sponsorships and a new website design contributed to a 100% increase in brand awareness and a 29% increase in member satisfaction for the then 2nd largest managed care plan in Louisiana (Blue Cross Blue Shield of LA was largest). In addition, we also branded and launched several new products including: KidsFirst, Total Health One, Total Health OHPtions and OHP Medicare Supplement. Per objective, we helped to increase membership by 13%, 23,000 in a three year period.
Ochsner Health Plan was named New Orleans CityBusiness #1 Top Private Company in 2002, 2003 & 2004. Our CEO was featured on the cover of the July 2002 issue of Managed Care Executive. And, I was named 2002 Advertising Person of the Year: Marketing Director by the Advertising Club of New Orleans.
