Sanganer open camp in Jaipur, Rajasthan is one of the ‘open jails’ started by the Rajasthan Government back in 1963 as an experiment. An open prison (open jail) is any jail in which the prisoners are trusted to serve their sentences with minimal supervision & restriction and perimeter security. Prisoners are permitted to take up employment while serving their sentence, staying with family. 

Open prisons are generally used to prepare inmates for release, by facilitating the integration/readjustment of prisoners to society even before release. Through this photo/video project, I intend to endorse the concept of open prisons
