A Portrait of Yayoi Kusama

A Portrait of Yayoi Kusama
When creating a portrait of an artist I wanted to use a representation of their work, this is why I used dots to create Yayoi Kusama. I chose to depict Yayoi Kusama as I found her work to be different from what you normally would see, and I like how her pieces remind her of fond memories. Also, I found how she used dots to create shapes a different way to create a piece. When creating this piece in Photoshop I used a Wacom Tablet in order create guided dots in a way where they created her face and hair. Used the pencil tool for that part and then used the circle tool to make the larger circles and then warped them so they were flat. I used the quick selection tool, the pencil tool, Ellipse tool and warped some of the bigger dots. While using the dots to create the portrait I wanted the piece to use a variety of dots and thus I reworked it a couple of different times.
