I started my journey as a teacher for almost a year and a half. Although I love children, I couldn’t  imagine that I would end up doing this… I didn't think I could handle it. Moreover, I didn't believe that I would be a good role model for them. Slowly, I discovered how much it fills my soul to be around them and how much it helps me grow and heal little Silvia.

 In schools, I’ve found the lack of empathy of many teachers and I relived with my students how vulnerable  you are as a child and how much they need us, adults. to  listen to them and to show  them that we are here, ready to help. 

I learned that behind their smiles, there is a sea of sadness and hardship. I have met children who have children, children who are abused, children  who need us, need to believe in them and give them a chance. I discovered, what a great value  has a simple ”you can do it” or „ I am here for you” and  how it helps them to grow and flourish. 

So, if you are an adult, please be  kind to children, they  need us.
