Made in October 2021. Nature dog is a piece of some of my favorite topics, the environment, and animals (including bees). Nature can be breathtaking and an opportunity to adventure. The beauty of nature is being celebrated while having cute characters to make it more lively. I wanted to practice character creation and the fantasy genre, then ended up with a whimsical approach as if it came out of a children's book.
"Blue Mushroom Guy" I was inspired by cyriak, a talented animator and musician who creates eye catching and memorable pieces. There can be beauty to whomever the subject. Masculine individuals are not portrayed enough as pretty or beautiful in media.
Made in 2019 or 2020 with recycled mixed media material (such as nail polish, cardboard for layers, and hot glue gun for texture). Based on the Great Green Wall which is a movement in Africa relating to desertification. I wanted to pay tribute to nature's beauty in a more abstract, magical way.
This acrylic piece was crafted in honor of Black History Month in 2019 or 2020. The hands represent society silencing people of color from speaking up. It's as if this individual is getting hypnotized and manipulated.
