Animal Basket League (ABL) is a fake videogame thought, designed and drawn by me.
Everything you will see came out from my mind and my hands. Players and logos are all originals.

The Golden Squad is the best team formed by the best players in the Animal Basket League.
The concept behind the management of the Golden Squad is basically the same of the Ultimate Team in Fifa.
The player gets credits match after match and starts creating his own basket team.
By the way, every season the best 5 players are chosen to be part of the Golden Squad.
For the season 21/22 the selected players are:
-Shanguille O'Fish, Aquator, 6
-Banny Mangutan, Savannah Warriors, 3
-Ronnie Dogman, The Fangs, 23
-Tonguee Lecko, Geckoleones, 11
-Gabriel Raffe, Afrimals, 18

Shanguille O' Fish was the first player I have drawn. He is clearly a fish mixed to a human being.I enjoyed working on his design because making his facial expression credible has been tricky. I mean... his cheecks are 90% of his face.
He has a strong personality and always leads his team to the victory.

Banny Mangutan has been the easiest design to realize. Monkeys are very similar to human beings so it came out very naturally.
His way of chewing his mouthguards looks familiar... any ideas? Maybe... Steph Curry?

This character design is special to me. I decided to make Ronnie a... dog man, only after I designed the logo for The Fangs. I decided that I wanted a dog in my roaster and I started sketching faces and tails. I wanted him to be tough and threatening.
What if I tell you Ronnie was a Dalmata originally?

Honestly, I thought about his crazy personality because of his eyes. I also wanted to give this idea of "madness" using this tone of pink.
I hope it will result disturbing and... disgusting as I wanted while I was creating his design.

The main inspiration behind G.Raffe was Dennis Rodman, no doubts. Even if he's not crazy as Dennis or Tonguee Lecko, Gabriel always wear his earrings during the matches, he doesn't care about the rules. He has a big passion for tattoos (most of them are not visibile when he wears the uniform) and for coloured hair.
