I decided to make a postcard about a place I like to go to ground myself, and that is Sanborn Park in Saratoga, CA. I really wanted to focus on the design principles of balance, rhythm, and hierarchy. The balance and rhythm take place through the centering of the photo and the arrangement of the copy. The hierarchy is most easily identified by the emphasis of the "SANBORN PARK" text in size and color, showing its importance.
