Sal's Bodega is a fictional bodega located in Brooklyn, New York. The bodega is a staple in a New Yorker's busy daily life. The main inspiration for this concept are bodega cats, which are commonly found in most bodegas.
New York bodegas have this friendly and warm nature that people come to for the convenience and the sense of unity it brings to the local community, and I wanted to lean onto that feeling for this concept. The design materials used in this project reflect the familiar and friendly feeling bodegas are known for.
