Seidr Y Mynydd
A new brand and packaging for cider producer Seidr Y Mynydd, based in Mynydd y Garreg, Carmarthenshire. They lovingly craft delicious Welsh cider using a Breton ’keeving’ method ‘Cidre Bouche’, which dates back to the 1700’s, producing beautiful, sweet, natural, bottle-conditioned cider, full of fruit and freshness. The taste releases the aromas of apples and citrus with finesse and delicacy.
The still cider is placed in a corked, champagne style bottle, where rapid second fermentation occurs when Cidre Bouche' produces a vibrant natural sparkle. Furthermore, throughout the process, no concentrated juice or water is added.
The Seidr y Mynydd brand needed to sing about the micro-batch and truly artisan quality of their cider, whilst still focussing on the fantastic quality of this premium product
We created a simple, vector-based illustration that was clean and modern, and adds a playful quality to the label. As a small-batch, award winning handmade product, we were able to create a bespoke quality mark which was foiled along with the creator’s signature and crafted by hand, adding a hint of luxury to this artisanal full-bodied Cider that is literally bursting with the tastes and aromas of the late summer orchard.
Seidr y Mynydd has won many awards including a Great Taste Award and The Welsh Perry and Cider Society’s Champion Cider of Wales.
