The brief was to create a typographic poster with a quote representing the urban city. I used ‘Hamma beads’ to create the type face, I chose to use them because they are bright and colourful and generally fun to work with as long as you don’t spill them everywhere!. Each individual bead is very important. This is what I think of the city, the people make it come alive. The quote I chose to use is ‘Bright lights will inspire you’ (Jay-Z – Empire State Of Mind). I chose this because the lights and the people can inspire you, this is when I began to develop the light bulb shape.
