Amairany Ortiz: AP Art Portfolio 2021
I'm a 17-year-old junior artist who currently attends Canoga Park Senior Highschool in the Magnet Program. At the start of my journey in elementary school, I was inspired to draw from a classmate. At first, I started small with drawings of things I was interested in such as Creepypasta and Minecraft. Later, I had begun to draw my own characters, even writing them into scenarios and expressing them in ways I couldn't express myself. When I opened myself up to more interests, I had begun to draw other types of artists such as singers, makeup artists, dancers and youtubers.
Now, I had gotten the chance to be apart of my first ever Advanced Art Class where I was assigned to do fifteen artworks of a specific Sustained Investigation. My SI was about the interactions of monsters in the world; how they can endanger one's being, mental health, and overall, their choices. I used several compositions, including the experiment with different color schemes, seperate ideas of affecteviness and the use of digital media such as Procreate, MediBang, and color altering in Lightroom.
