I purposely sought out animas whose feet were unique to their type. I had to use lots of reference photos when I initially sketched so I could get all the details right. I made sure to pick animals that are common and well known. I started with farm animals then branched out by adding a raccoon hand and a bear paw.

I initially added block-style shadows to my icons, however, they didn't cohesively "make sense". After realizing this, I removed the block shadow. I also had initially illustrated the icons with awkward cut offs at the top of the leg. I felt the icons looked incomplete because I didn't have the confidence that they were immediately identifiable. I initially used a "Roughen" effect to some of the icons that would realistically have fur, however, I found the effect hard to work with. I received some feedback that I would benefit from removing that effect.

I have always loved animals and how unique each creature is. I added tufts of hair to the animals that are furry so they can be easily identified. I created these icons taking inspiration from both our fuzzy and not so fuzzy friend's feet! Can you identify all of the animal feet I illustrated?
