Magazine Redesign - Unseen
Unseen is a photography magazine from Europe and features unique contemporary artists in the field. For the masthead redesign, I wanted to play off the title and create a design that was slightly obscure to read. To increase legibility, added corners to some character's and tapered pre-existing ones to help identify the characters better.

Feature Iterations
My First few features went several directions before I settled on one that worked with my magazine. I settled on a design that fit the articles purpose, which was a self reflection of the artist's work as he writes messages on the photos for the audience and himself.
The feature used a lot of handwriting that I did myself. I did not have access to a Wacom tablet or iPad at the time, so I improvised and wrote the title out many times until I found a lettering that worked. I would then photograph it, edit the colors in photoshop, and mask off the white so that I could easily overlay the hand writing into the spreads.
