Singing Birds

The inspiration for this work comes from a poem, that the deceased were not gone, but had returned to their homeland as birds. As an international student, I resonate with the longing soul that sets for its home. In this work, I have built a snowy scene, featuring scattered feathers of birds sticking to twigs like leaves, and installed an audio mimicking bird chirping. It invites the audience to consider whether souls of the deceased birds have remained forever in this winter, or have taken flight back home.
