Imbé | Small town branding

Imbé is a small town in the coast of Brazil. A two-hour drive from Porto Alegre, the capital of Rio Grande do Sul state, Imbé is one of the oldest beach towns in the area. Mostly inhabited by retired elders who want to escape big city life, Imbé is peaceful and calm. With only one controversial high-rise building, it's streets are filled with houses and bungalows, where you can hear the roaring of the waves breaking in the sand.

During the first year of the pandemic, I moved from the Porto Alegre to Imbé while I waited travel restrictions to lift so I could move to Canada. As I lived there, I was inspired by the landscape and created a modern-looking visual identity for the municipality.
