“An interesting task given to model a USB, designed by staff members with the aid of Solidworks. A drawing of the USB was given to help in the modelling process. The module also focused on modelling the USB internally (so it successfully holds the PCB)."

 

"Through this module it was acknowledged that it helped me to gain a better insight of Solidworks and helped me to understand it’s interface better. Through modelling the USB I noticed I had used fastening features I had never previously used before i.e. snap hooks/groove, mounting boss/pin, etc.”

“Subsequently the USB was rendered with the aid of Autodesk 3DS Studio Max Design. I really enjoyed using this software and realized very highly realistic renders could be achieved and the amount of control surpasses that of Solidworks Photoview 360.”
