UNIT 2: FOLEY EFFECTS

ASSIGNMENT 1: BRAINSTORMING
_______________________________________________________________________
1. Every sound in animations and games matter in order to create a somewhat realistic effect.
2. Actors and actresses cannot physically smash a glass because microphones may be unable to to pick up the sound. They may also hurt themselves from the glass.
3. Actors and actresses cannot use real explosions because of possible injury.
4. Actors and actresses cannot use a real phone to call since the timing could be off or their could be a distraction. The microphones also cannot pick up the sound too well.
5. Attaching microphones to your ankles to try and pick up the noise will not work since the mic will pick up the background noise and the footsteps.
6. Stuntmen would get physically hurt if they were to do their stunts together and make contact.
7. Designers and directors guessed and experimented with different sounds to make science fictional sound effects.
8. Using a microphone to record real rain could result in damage to the microphone or the microphone may pick up the sounds of outdoor activity such as cars, wind, people walking, etc.
