During a six day kayaking adventure through East Iceland, we came across this unique spot where the glacial river we were paddling down merged with a fresh water river running from the east. The result was this incredible display of abstract natural art as the opposing colours mixed with each other. The sediments carried by the sliding glacier give the glacial river a beautiful brownish hue which is almost the exact opposite to the one of the fresh water one, making it a perfect mix of colours and pure joy for the eyes.
