ASTA Door Corporation sells a variety of commercial rolling garage doors, most of which require extensive assembly. I was hired to develop technical illustrations and layouts for a number of ASTA product instruction manuals and technical spec sheets.

I met with ASTA representatives and engineers throughout development of the materials, ensuring the illustrations accurately reflected the garage door parts and assembly processes.

Many of the manuals’ diagrams illustrate the function and interaction of small, mechanical parts. The illustration work often required attention to scale, including referencing original CAD drawings of individual parts.
