PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Pria Next is extended convertible car seat that is designed to cover from birth to 10 years old child.
The headset is enlarged than the previous version and transform up and down to fit grown child.
3 additional pillows are added for safety of infant.
The body cover cut&sew is less counts and simplified to carry the Maxicosi’s cozy and modern look and feel.
Material
Laminated foam with the tricot backing helps to fit better to hardgood frame and wrinkles proof.
Extra padding on headrest area for comfort and safety.
Color matching binding around the edge of the cover with some elastic binding on corners to secure the fit to frame.
Challenges
Decision making on amount or grams of the padding was disputable since it was cost sensitive while it affects on the fit and pattern revising.
Also knit lamination showed different outcome than woven lamination so I had to refigure the patterns for better fit and wrinkle issues.
As the aesthetic design direction, the cut&sew patterns were less than the usual which make the overall look more modern and simple which identify the Maxicosi brand image.
