Food is an important component of all cultures, but it can also be an aspect that fuels shame and criticism. In my own experience, the topic of food was both a sore subject for ridicule but also an important connector between the culture I grew up with and the culture I grew up in. With this piece, I hope to highlight that connection between the two (both metaphorically and literally).
