Fuzzy Masterpieces
In March 2019, inspiration came to me as I thought about the painterly masterpieces of the world and how they are sealed behind panes of glass. In part to prevent grubby hands like mine from touching them.
What does it feel like to run your hands along the brush strokes of Da Vinci compared to those of Van Gogh?
We have grown accustomed to enjoying these pieces visually, forgetting there are other sensory experiences to them, like texture.
I created "Fuzzy Masterpieces" with this idea in mind, to evoke the desire to touch these pieces, to run your hands through all their fuzzy glory and enjoy them, at least in your mind, as wonderfully furry works of art.
