We envisioned the logo to have a carefree, playful vibe to it, so a handwritten font was an easy choice. Throwing the dog element into the mix was a must for us; the letter ‘y’ was modified at the end with a wagging dog tail to imply excitement and happiness, connecting it back to what the word stands for and how we want their customers’ furkids to feel while they are under the care of Happy Hounds. A solid drop shadow behind the word helps it to stand out, giving it more contrast against any background. We opted for a bold and clean sans serif font for the word ‘Hounds’ to ground the overall logo and use it an anchor to signify reliability.
