Young Farmers is a private farming and gardening school targeted towards children up to 12 Years Old. This school was created to help achieve Singapore’s 30 by 30 vision. This initiative have put in place to promote the development of the agriculture locally. The reason I decided to target children is because I believe that in order to promote the local agriculture scene, early education and awareness is needed for future generations.
The series of posters will be put up at bus stops in neighbourhood areas so that families with young children are able to spot them and gain interest in the gardening school. The posters aims to introduce the different things students can garden in the school; flowers, vegetables and herbs like curry leaves.
This is the website that introduces the school to new parents, provides an array of classes to inspiring young farmers and home activity kits that can be bought.
These are the contents of the home activity kit, specifically Survival Terrarium kit. I designed the box, the pebbles, soil and charcoal packets, the dwarf tomato seeds packet, sticker sheet and the home activity kit. The box is personalised for the receiver. In this case, Ethan bought this kit, thus his name is on the box. This will make the children feel more involved and excited to learn gardening.
