The Greenhouse Garden Bistro - Branding

Design Challenge:

Develop a brand concept for a restaurant and create its brand identity, digital content, print aspect, and interior/ exterior environmental touch points. In this design challenge, the goal is to create an environment that people can enjoy great food while learning why GMO's are bad and the benefits to clean eating. The Greenhouse Garden Bistro is a fun and interactive brand that is unique to the city of Austin, Texas, where there is a big young adult crowd. The second half of the challenge is designing the visual identity of the restaurant which includes the interior and exterior, logo, menu and web page.

Solution:

The goal behind the project was to create a brand identity for the restaurant that was fun, interactive and engaging. The Greenhouse Garden bistro was developed into a restaurant based in a giant glass green house that focuses on in house grown nonGMO plants and vegetables, as well as meats that have not be genetically modified. The concept is that its customers are able to interact with their food by becoming hands-on in the before dinner fun by picking the vegetables and meats in the weeks daily options based on what is seasonal. When I developed the logo I wanted to go with a simple G that was sliced and had plants forming the curve in the letter G while displaying the name "The Greenhouse Garden Bistro''. My color scheme was different shades of greens based on the variety of plants, as well as clean black sketching of vegetables, cows, and chickens for the different sections on the menu and what all the restaurant serves. Overall I am pleased with how the brands identity came out and how it can appeal to all ages.
Design Application:
PRINT

For the print aspect of The Greenhouse Garden Bistro I developed a menu. I stuck with a simple layer menu to separate the menu based on appetizers, beef, chicken, and vegetarian dishes. It is served on a rustic farm style plank clipboard to go along with the farm to table style of the restaurant.
