Bric-A-Brac is a creative event centered around LEGO sculptures. This project required a logo and a self-mailer event program to be made. The logo combines the name of the event, Bric-A-Brac, with a LEGO brick viewed from the side. This combination makes the letters appear as the studs on a LEGO brick. The structured nature of LEGOs required a geometric font. The corners of the characters were rounded to reduce the font's sharpness, mimic the studs, and create a playful characteristic. The colors chosen for the logo and program are
reminiscent of classic LEGOs.
The program's design highlights the event speakers intuitively while leaving enough space for the registration form and map. The program is clean and inviting when folded-down while following the requirements set out for self-mailers by the United States Postal Service. The shape of the program is a net to form a rectangular box. The event attendees are supposed to bring their program to an activity during the day, build their box, and help assemble a group sculpture. With this activity in mind, the programs would include tape on specific flaps to make construction easier. The programs would also be varying colors from the color palette to make them appear like LEGO bricks.
