The 50s was an of diversity and change, with a vast variety of subcultures. For this flyer I decided to blend the style of modernist with the flamboyant style of 50’s signwriting, but at the same time bringing it forward to the here and now with a contemporary magazine layout - allowing the brochure to ‘breath’ between all the elements. Finally using mixed shapes and a strong colour pallet to provide a more convincing 50’s feel.
