SAN PARKS
YOU ARE NATURE
An appeal to wildlife lovers across South Africa to contribute to our beloved National Parks.
In collaboration with the WWF, SANPARKS (The South African National Parks authority) needed to draw attention to the plight of South Africa’s National parks which experienced a complete lack of income due to the COVID-19 enforced national lockdown. Using the idea of You Are Nature by highlighting the UR within the word NATURE we spoke to everyone’s connection to nature and the world around them - something that came sharply into focus during the global pandemic. Everyone became more aware of our place in the world and the pause in our daily lives made everyone contemplate the state of the planet.

For as little as R300 (approx €15,50) per year, a hectare of the park can be maintained, and this campaign was an appeal to human nature to protect nature by donating - tying in beautifully to WWF’s brand line of “For Nature. For You”. Using our parks’ unique shapes and the amount of land they cover we were able to demonstrate how much this R300 is able to protect for a year.
The colour palette was also reflective of the diversity of landscapes these majestic parks occupy across our beautiful country.
