Hannah Daye Ridling Bark Park - Environmental Design

Objective
The objective of this project was to create a cohesive and instinctive signage system for the Hannah Daye Ridling Bark Park. The new signage should reflect the care that is put into maintaining the dog park and the joy that its human and canine visitors experience. It should also respect the refinement of Blount Cultural park in which it is placed.

The System
Matte black metal and wood form a streamlined visual experience that suggests sophistication; while the dog silhouettes and other dog-related motifs add playfulness. The language on the signs was condensed as much as possible to make it more accessible to patrons. The sans-serif font, Bicyclette, was chosen for its sleek appearance. The two most informative signs, the rules and the corkboard, are placed on opposite sides of the fountain, making them noticeable and also following the symmetry of the of the entrance. The gate information is posted on each entrance gate.
