This is a tulip still life drawing. It is inspired by Dawn-Clemons's drawings of plants in which she left negative space in order to focus on the plant. In my case, my drawing features tulips in a glass vase that has water in the bottom. That part of the drawing is in oil pastel. The bottom part of the drawing shows a beaded carpet that is done in color pencil. The reason I went in color pencil is because it thought it was more easier to get more firm and less blended appearance with color pencil rather than pastel. The perspective was chosen in a slanted direction because I wanted to practice perspective.
