This all new design replaces the Write Bros. legacy version that has been in market since 1971. With this new geometry, the pen aligns much better with the visual design language for the Paper Mate brand, and utilizes the pill shaped clip and 2 hearts logo treatment to fit with the current product portfolio.

The new Write Bros. pen won a Good Design award in 2020.

Of 8 final concepts, this "Pill" concept was selected, as it carries over the iconic pill shaped clip and "2 Hearts" logo of other Paper Mate pens. As well, the product could be molded in the same fashion as the legacy version, thus saving cost with efficient use of tooling.

"In Scene" Keyshot renders were created to validate the design and help tell the product story to the Marketing team prior to the concept going to production.
