The Clans of Fey Main Title

The Clans of Fey is inspired by the Fey clans that were shown in Netflix’s Cursed based from the book created by Thomas Wheeler and Frank Miller with the same title.

In this series, I’ll be featuring different clans of Fey that are presented in the show. But in this version, they are the Feys that are currently living in the Isle of Man, the deep forest of Ireland, and the mountainous region of Northern Scotland. Some are living closely to human villages but then they’re protected by the Féth fíada, a magical mist given by their Tuatha Dé Danann ancestors, making them invisible to human eyes. These Feys are living peacefully, away from the evil grasp of the Red Paladdins infesting England. Instead of fearing for their life, they live harmoniously with nature and continue their beliefs and practices. One of them is spending holidays at the same time as the Celts. Nowadays, they are called pagan holidays descending from the time when Celtic civilization flourished through the lands.

What inspired me to create this series is my love for the Celtic civilization, the myths surrounding Great Britain and the Irish folklore that revolves around the existence of Faes or Faeries. It’s such an interesting topic and a huge universe out there to explore when it comes to creativity. And seeing how the book/show adopted several aspects such as religion, known heroes like Boudicca, the mysterious knots and symbols in the forest; it’s amusing to see how these Feys were living before they were disturbed and terrorized and that’s what I want to achieve. Enjoy!
