90126 was born during my comeback to Sicily in August. I wanted to express the emptiness that attacks me everytime I leave Milan.
This year I knew that this void would become even greater. Because of the pandemic, I knew that I would not return to Milan before six months.
91026 is the zip code of Mazara del Vallo, my hometown: a town full of conflicts that seems (like other suburban realities) to stop in a static limbo.
The emptiness becomes like a *brake*, as if the time stopped. The stillness pervades everything, including the Sea, fickle by its nature.
A set of contrasts, where the photographed subjects and objects are opposed to the frenziness and chaos of metropolitan cities. The sense of never-ending motion becomes blatant when juxtaposed with other realities, in my case, 91026.
